Teresa (Supra) Novotney

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the death of Teresa Supra Novotney , age 91, of Brier Hill, PA who died on Thursday evening, September 12, 2013 at her home. She was born on September 6, 1922 in Denbo, PA. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Anna Supra Teresa was a member of the former St. Hedwig's R.C. Church in Brier Hill and Smock. She was a current member of St. Cecilia's R.C. Church in Grindstone. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Brownsville Court #1141. Teresa was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Nothing made her happier than to be surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A special joy for her was for all of her family to gather at her house for Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve Dinners. Teresa was preceded in death by her husband: Frank A. Novotney Sr. She is survived by her 5 children: Frank Novotney Jr. & wife Stacy of Uniontown, PA Andrew Novotney & wife Kathy of Bentleyville, PA Karen Kopec & husband Bernard of Masontown, PA Alan Novotney& wife Leslie of Brier Hill, PA Anne Marie Butella & husband Ron of Perryopolis, PA Teresa was a wonderful grandmother to her grandchildren: Nathan Novotney & his wife Teresa; Sean Novotney; Chad Novotney & wife Terri; Darren Novotney; David Fetsko; Carey and Trevor Wood; Teresa Seaman & husband Doug; Jason Kopec & wife Janae; David Novotney; Cole Novotney; Ryan Novotney; Nicole Allamon; Wayne Allamon & wife Kristin; and Angela Allamon She was loved by her great-grandchildren: Brennen, Justin, Gianna, Connor, Courtney, Kara, Abbey, Ethan, Dylan, Carson, Bria, Kinley, Xavier, Carter, Dedric, Addison, & Brynley. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Many Thanks to her caregivers: Linda, Star, & Donna Friends will be received in The Skirpan Funeral Home 135 Park Street Brownsville, PA on Sunday from 2 to 9PM and on Monday until 9:30AM where a prayer service will be held, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St. Cecilia R.C. Church of Grindstone, PA with Rev. Fr. Joseph D. Armamento as celebrant. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park. The Catholic Daughters of America Brownsville Court #1141 will recite the rosary in the funeral home today at 3:00PM. A Parish Wake Service will be held at 6:00PM.
