Stanley F. "Stush" Kwasny Sr, 83, of Labelle, PA passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on July 27, 2025.
Born in Labelle, Stush was the son of the late Caroline and John Kwasny.
He was a 1960 graduate of California High School where he excelled on the baseball diamond as a catcher even receiving an invitation to a tryout for the Pittsburgh Pirates. After high school, Stush served in the US Navy with the VAW-12 early warning air squadron on board the USS Essex. He was honorably discharged in 1964. After discharge, Stush was employed as a boilermaker at United States Steel Clairton Works where he retired after a 30-year career. In his younger years, Stush enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends and family. He was a lifelong sports fan and loved watching and attending Notre Dame football games.
The youngest of thirteen children, Stush is survived by his brother Joe. He is survived by his wife of 64-years, Janice Gail Kwasny, his high school sweetheart, whom he married in 1961. He was a proud and loving father of Patrick (Leslie) Kwasny, Stanley (Mikyong) Kwasny Jr, and Dana Jo (Ted) Camut. He was also a proud grandfather to Matthew, Joshua, and Seaman Sean Kwasny and Patrick (Alison) Camut and Janice (Ronald) Quinto. He enjoyed his time with his great grandchildren Lydia Camut and Julianna Quinto. Stush will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
Arrangements and services were private as Stush requested.
