Sherman Powell Staley, Jr., age 85, of LaBelle, PA passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 1st, 2025.
He was a quiet and private man who found joy in the simple things in life, especially in the companionship of his beloved dog, Blacky who was always by his side and now misses him dearly.
Sherman was preceded in death by his parents: Sherman Powell Staley, Sr. and Helen (Pallotto) Staley

great-niece: Lisa Tichnor
great-nephew: Anthony Krcelich
Sherman is survived by his sisters: Alice Smith of Brownsville, and Nancy Yekel of Uniontown, PA.
Also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of him who will remember him fondly.
He will be remembered for his love of animals and quiet strength. Though he preferred to keep to himself, his caring and kindness touched the lives of those who knew him best.
Friends will be received in The Skirpan Funeral Home 135 Park Street Brownsville, PA on Friday, November 14th, from 10:00AM until 12:00 Noon. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00Noon.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Sherman's name to your local animal shelter in honor of his lifelonglove for animals and his faithful companion, Blacky.
