Roseann “Rose” Buffer, of Brownsville, Pennsylvania died peacefully on May 11, 2025 at 93 years of age. Rose was born in Brownsville, Pennsylvania on June 3rd, 1931 to her parents Steve and Anna Pipik. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Buffer and her six siblings, Steven, Paul, Thomas (Mike), John, George and Ed. Rose is survived by her children, Annette Buffer and SueAnne Antonucci of Daisytown, PA; Sam Buffer, his wife Kim Buffer and their four children, Steven (Kaela), Rebecca, Jason (Shalini) and Zachary of Gibsonia, PA; and Michael Buffer, his wife Cindy and their three children, Meredith, Austin and Christian of Pasadena , Maryland. As a mother of three, grandmother of seven, and godmother to countless others, Rose was the matriarch of the family. She was an exemplary mother figure who touched the lives of everyone she met. Rose’s greatest joy came from spending time with those she loved. Her home was always open and her kitchen was the gathering place for weekly Sunday dinners and holiday celebrations. She was known for her spaghetti sauce, bobalki, nut rolls and other delicious baked goods. Rose loved to sing and was a member of St. Peter’s choir for 30 years. In recent years, she sang with the Bentworth Ministerium Community Choir and participated as a member of the Power of Music. Rose was an active member of the Historic Church of St. Peter and maintained relationships with members of her church and local community. Rose will always be remembered for being hard-working, funny, kind and for her zest for life. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her. Friends will be received in the Skirpan Funeral Home 135 Park St. Brownsville, PA on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 2 to 8 PM. A prayer service will be held on Wednesday May 14, 2025 at 11:00AM in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass at 11:30AM in The Historic Church of St Peter, Brownsville, PA with the Rev. Fr. Rodolfdo Mejia as celebrant. Interment in Lafayette Memorial Park.
