Robert S. "Red Peppers" Petriello

Robert S. (Red Peppers) Petriello age 90 of Brownsville, PA died Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at his home. He was born on January 19, 1921 in Brownsville, PA. Son of the late Sylvester and Jennie Petriello Bob was the Sports Editor for the Brownsville Telegraph for 47 years. Brownsville Boro Tax Collector since 1966 Past President of the Mon Valley Sports Writers Association and Broadcasters He was the founding member of the Brownsville Youth Baseball League in 1950 and instrumental in the formation of the Brownsville Biddy Basketball League in 1956 Bob was inducted in the Mon Valley All Sports Hall of Fame in 1969 and the Fayette County Sports Hall of Fame in 2010. Bob was honored at the Dapper Dan Classic in 1969. Member of the Sons of Italy Frank Ricco Lodge He was predeceased by his wife: Patricia Wasil Petriello Granddaughter: Taylor Bosak He is survived by 2 Daughters: Lisa and her husband Dr. Ken Eisenberg - El Paso, TX Bobbi and her husband Edward Bosak - Woodbridge, VA 4 Grandchildren: Brittany and Brian Bosak Ian Robert and Kayla Eisenberg Friends will be received in the Skirpan Funeral Home 135 Park St. Brownsville, PA on Saturday and Sunday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8PM . Where a prayer service will be held on Monday at 9:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in the Historic Church of St. Peter - Brownsville, PA with the Rev. Fr. James Petrovsky as celebrant. Interment Redstone Cemetery. The Sons of Italy Frank Ricco Lodge will meet on Saturday at 7:00PM in the Funeral Home A Parish wake service will be held on Sunday at 7:30PM in the Funeral Home.
