Richard A. Charnovich, born April 28, 1935, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025 in Reston, Virginia. Formerly of Brier Hill, Pennsylvania, he lived the final months of his life with his loving family and dedicated caregivers, Mica and Yami, in Oakton, Virginia. Richard was a dedicated family man who loved his wife, Dolores, with all of his heart, until she passed away in 2006 after a battle with Ovarian Cancer. Richard was a military veteran and Good Conduct Medal recipient in the United States Army, and was a dedicated Supervisor with the Pittsburgh Lake and Erie and Conrail railway corporations for over 25 years. He loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, PGA Tour golf, and cooking shows.
Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Stella Charnovich, his father, Joseph A. Charnovich, his brother, Joseph A. Charnovich Jr., and his wife, Dolores A. Charnovich. Richard is survived by his loving son, Richard J. Charnovich, daughter in law Andrea Tash, grandson Isaac Tash, and granddogs Oslo and Mocha, of Oakton, Virginia.
A private viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 25. A public mass will be held on February 25 at 1 pm at St. Therese Roman Catholic Church, 61 Mill Street, Uniontown, PA.
