Paul Alan Yarnevich

Paul Alan Yarnevich, age 80 , of west Brownsville, PA passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024 peacefully with family by his side. He was born on January 24, 1944 , to the son of the late Frank and Leona Day Yarnevich of West Brownsville, PA . He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Marlene Kay, brother, Melvyn (Sonny) Yarnevich and wife Betty, sister, Mildred (Yarnevich) Bergman. Paul is survived by his two sons, Stephen Yarnevich and wife Kathy of West Brownsville, PA; Kevin Yarnevich and wife Jody of Mechanicsburg, PA; two grandsons, Nicholas and Dylan. Paul was a US Army veteran and was retired from the coal mine and Standard Auto. Paul was an active member of the Bridgeport Young Men's Club, the West Brownsville American Legion Post 940, and a retired volunteer fireman for the West Brownsville fire company. Friends will be received in the Skirpan Funeral Home, 135 Park St., Brownsville, PA on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM and Wednesday until 9:30 AM when a prayer service will be held followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in the Historic Church of St. Peter, Brownsville, PA with the Rev. Fr. Efren Ambre as celebrant. Entombment in Lafayette Memorial Park with full military rites accorded by American Legion Posts 940, 275 and 838. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
