Norman W. (Captain Nemen) Wible

Norman W. Wible, age 77, of Uniontown, PA, passed away at his home on Saturday, August 30th, 2025 with his family by his side.

He was born on May 5th, 1948 in Brownsville, PA to the late William and Pearl (Anderson) Wible of Brownsville.

“Captain Nemen” as many called him, was a 1966 graduate of Brownsville High School and completed a machinist apprenticeship program in Ohio. He worked at Isabella Mine Machine Shop for several years and also at SENOJ Enterprises. His most current job was at NAPA Auto Parts Store in Brownsville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Martha Anderson; Paternal Grandparents, Fred and Doris Wible; and his brother, William Wible.

He leaves behind his three children:

Norm Wible – Hanover, PA

Mandy (Kevin) Gause – Longs, S.C.

Brody Wible at home

two grandchildren: Elijah Gause and Tessa Wible

two sisters: Marlene Wible and Mona Fisher

Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Funeral Service on Monday, September 8th at 1:00PM at LaFayette Memorial Park – Garden of Sunset with Pastor Michael Lyons Officiating.
