Norma Jean (Davis) Quarzo

Norma Jean Quarzo, 88, of Brownsville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026. Born on January 19, 1938, in Brownsville, Norma spent her life in the community she loved. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose greatest joy came from caring for those she loved. Norma shared 67 wonderful years of marriage with the love of her life, Richard "Dickie" Quarzo. Together they built a family rooted in love, faith, and tradition. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Jennie (Davita) Davis; her siblings, Rose Acklan, Josephine Miglore, Johnny Gallice, Alfred Davis, Dutchie Davis, and Lenora Augustus. She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard "Dickie" Quarzo; her sister, Marie Mancini; her daughter, Diana (Kenneth) Shumar; her son, Richard (Marci) Quarzo; her cherished grandchildren, Kaila (Rob) Miele, Jenna (Miles) McNeir, Gionna Quarzo (Jake), and Jolena Quarzo; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Luca and Vienna Miele, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply. Norma's greatest happiness was found in spending time with her family. She especially loved bringing everyone together around the table, preparing delicious meals and holiday feasts that became treasured family traditions. Her warmth, generosity, and welcoming spirit made every gathering feel like home. A faithful Catholic, Norma was a devoted member of the Historic Church of St. Peter in Brownsville. Her faith guided her throughout her life and was reflected in the kindness, compassion, and love she shared with others. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Jennie's Personal Care Home, especially Tyfanni and Kenya, as well as the staff of Amedysis Hospice for the exceptional care, kindness, and dignity they showed Norma. Their dedication, compassion, and genuine love brought comfort not only to Norma but to our entire family. We will always be grateful for the difference they made in her life and for treating her with such respect and tenderness. Norma will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her generous heart, her strong faith, and the countless memories created around her table. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, laughter, and family traditions will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Friends will be received in The Skirpan Funeral Home 135 Park Street Brownsville, PA on Wednesday, July 8th from 2-4 and 6-8PM, and on Thursday until 9:30AM where a Prayer Service will be held followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at The Historic Church of St. Peter – Brownsville, PA with the Rev. Fr. Efren Ambre as Celebrant. Entombment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park.
