Nancy Yeardie, 86, of California, PA passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at Mon Valley Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 15, 1937 in Grindstone, PA the daughter of the late Dorothy and William E. Gribble, Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Yeardie, Sr. Also preceding her in death were siblings William Gribble, Jr., Homer Gribble, and Donna Ochmann. She is survived by children, Homer Yeardie (Kelli) of Brownsville, Frances Colinet (Jay) of Irwin, Samuel Yeardie, Jr. (Chrissy) of Fredericktown, and Matthew Yeardie (Jenn) of Andover, OH. Nancy is also survived by grandchildren, Beth McElhaney, Webley Yeardie, Jason Colinet, Ronnie Yeardie, Devan Yeardie, Taylor Yeardie, Michayla Yeardie, Hope Yeardie, Kirrah Yeardie, and Ethan Yeardie. She also had 6 great-grandchildren Megan McElhaney, Sara McElhaney, Giada Colinet, Gino Colinet, Jayce Yeardie and Zayn Yeardie. She is also survived by siblings Joanna Boyd, Patricia Higinbotham, and Susan Winters. Nancy loved spending time with her family whether that was watching Hallmark movies, playing Uno, building puzzles, playing card games, coloring pictures, or watching Family Feud. She will be greatly missed by her entire family. Her family would like to thank the staff of the 6th floor at Mon Valley Hospital along with the Hospice nurses that provided care there. The family will receive friends at Skirpan Funeral Home, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, PA on Thursday, December 28 from 2:00 – 8:00 PM and Friday until 1:30 PM when a prayer service will be held followed by a Funeral Mass at 2:00 PM in the Historic Church of St. Peter, Brownsville, PA with the Rev.
