MILDRED DOLORES LOUISE DANKO Age 89, formally of Republic, Pennsylvania, died on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Mildred was the daughter of the late George and Suzanne (Sheba) Danko. She was also preceded in death by an infant brother and sister, brother George Albert (Junior) Danko, and great nephew Ryan Danko. Mildred is survived by sister in-law, Eloise Danko of Ravenswood, West Virginia. She is also survived by beloved nephews and niece - Roy David of Ravenswood, West Virginia, Edward Michael of Parkersburg, West Virginia, John Thomas and Tonda of Fort Myers, Florida, Albert Stanley and Crystal of Ravenswood, West Virginia, and Georgianne and Robert Long of Ravenswood, West Virginia. Also surviving are many great nephews and nieces, cousins, and friends. Mildred graduated from Redstone High School in 1954. She retired after 40 years as Secretary/Office Manager of the Penn State Cooperative Extension in 1996. Mildred was a member of the Holy Rosary Church, Republic, Pennsylvania. She served on the Pastoral Council, Cemetery Committee, and was a Eucharistic Minister. Mildred was the first female elected to the Board of Directors Fayette County Agricultural Improvement Association (County Fair). She also served as the Treasurer for the Association. Mildred was also a licensed cosmetologist and a member of the Ladies Club of Tower Hill #2. The family would like to thank all the staff, nurses, and aides of Monarch Meadow and OSPTA for their compassionate care of Mildred.
