Michalene E. "Mike" McGarvey, age 71, of Uniontown, PA passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013 in UPMC - Montefiore Hospital with her loving husband Dan by her side holding her hand. She was born on October 27, 1941 in Uniontown, PA Daughter of the late Michael and Marie Rohal Baker "Mike" was a member of St. Therese de Lisieux R. C. Church of Uniontown where she served the church as a cantor for many years. She was employed as the personal secretary to the late Robert L. Webster Sr. for over 40 years and then became the owner of her own business - Tri-County Abstract in Uniontown, PA. "Mike" was a most generous woman in both her professional and personal life. She enjoyed playing games on her computer. "Mike" was preceded in death by her brother: George Baker And also by her infant twin brother She is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years: John (Dan) McGarvey 3 sons: Robert Nelson McGarvey and wife Rebecca (Wilhelm) - Chalk Hill, PA Shawn Mark McGarvey - Phoenix, AZ Daniel Shane McGarvey & wife Vicki - Uniontown, PA 3 Grandchildren: Robert Michael McGarvey - OK Ian C. McGarvey and Zane O. McGarvey of Uniontown, PA Sister: Bernice Thomas & husband Joseph - Upper Middletown, PA Sister-in-law: Betty Baker - Upper Middletown, PA Several nieces & nephews She will be sadly missed by her 3 dogs: Blue Angel, Misti, & Brandi A very special thank you to 3 very close friends: Susan Bondarenka, Cathy Gmitter, & Debbie Fronczyk. Friends will be received in The Skirpan Funeral Home 680 Cherry Tree Lane Uniontown, PA on Sunday evening from 5-8PM, Monday from 2-8 PM, and on Tuesday morning until 9:30AM where a prayer service will be held followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St. Therese de Lisieux R.C. Church - Uniontown, PA with Msgr. Michael W. Matusak and Rev. Fr. Kenneth Zaccagnini as Con-Celebrants. Interment will follow in Mount Macrina Cemetery. A Parish Wake Service will be held on Monday afternoon at 3:00PM in the funeral home.
