Mary Martha Kosick, 92, of Brownsville, PA passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2013 in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born on March 18, 1920 in Maxwell, PA Daughter of the late Peter and Elizabeth Kovalchick Kosick Mary was a former member of St. James R.C. Church of LaBelle, PA and was the Parish Housekeeper at St. James for many years. She was a current member of The Historic Church of St. Peter in Brownsville Member of The First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association Mary was employed by Union Supply Company in Maxwell and Bridgeport and later at Kart's Department Store in Brownsville as a cashier. Mary was preceded in death by her brother: Stephen Kosick Sister: Elizabeth (Kosick) Hagyari Her best friend and faithful dog: Sammy She is survived 3 nieces: Patricia Currie & husband Jim - Charleroi, PA Mary Lou (Neil) Gennaula & husband Chuck - Gettysburg, PA Bernadette Mendish & husband Joe - Latrobe, PA 4 great nieces and 1 great nephew and 2 great-great nieces and 4 great-great nephews Also survived by her very dear friend of over 60 years: Kathryn Sage And another good family friend: Roseann Skoda And all of her friends and neighbors at Mulligan Manor The family would like to express their very special thanks to The Caring Mission of Fayette County especially to Theresa and her staff, Fayette Home Care and Hospice, Dr. Bobak and his staff, and The Uniontown Hospital for all of their wonderful care and kindness. Friends will be received in The Skirpan Funeral Home 135 Park Street Brownsville, PA on Wednesday from 11:00AM until 12:30PM at which time a Prayer Service will be held followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:00PM at The Historic Church of St. Peter - Brownsville, PA with her very close friend - Rev. Fr. Andrew M. Kawecki as celebrant. Private Family Interment will follow In LaFayette Memorial Park.
