Mary Ann (Macala) King

Mary Ann King of East Millsboro, PA formerly of Brownsville, PA passed away on Sunday evening June 16th, 2013 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Andrew & Mary Simon Macala. Before her retirement, she worked for the Brownsville Telegraph for 18 years and then the Herald-Standard Newspapers. Mary Ann was a member of the former St. Mary's R.C. Church in Brownsville, St. James R.C. Church in LaBelle, PA and most recently a member of Church of the Madonna of Czestochowa in Cardale, PA. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Sister Theresa Ann VSC (Margaret), Agnes Macala, Catherine Lenkey 2 Brothers: Thomas Macala and Joseph Macala Mary Ann is survived by her 3 daughters: Lisa Adkins - Mt. Airy, Md Debra Marchando - California, PA Victoria Gillespie - Mt. Airy, Md. 5 Grandchildren: Cassandra and Alexis Marchando Garrett, Gabrielle, & Kendall Grace Gillespie 2 sisters: Dorothy Macala - East Millsboro, PA Julia Malcolm - Sarasota, FL Brother: John Macala - Sarasota, FL Also survived by many nieces and nephews Friends will be received in The Skirpan Funeral Home 135 Park Street Brownsville, PA on Wednesday from 4:00PM until 8:00PM and on Thursday until 1:00PM where a prayer service will be held followed by a Funeral Mass at 1:30PM at Madonna of Czestochowa R. C. Church - Cardale, PA with Rev. Fr. James Clark as Celebrant. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park.
