John D. Merlo

John D. Merlo. age 94, of Charleroi, PA passed away on Saturday, July 22nd, 2023.

He was born on May 12th, 1929 in Brownsville, PA

Son of the late Ettore and Louise (Cicchetti) Merlo

John was the owner of The Myford Hotel and Bar in Charleroi

John was preceded in death by a brother:  Sylvio Merlo

sister:  Emma Marie Matteucci

John is survived by his sister:  Amelia Babko - Brownsville, PA

Also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends will be received in The Skirpan Funeral Home 135 Park Street Brownsville, PA on Wednesday, July 26th from 9:00AM until 10:30AM.  A Prayer Service will be held at 10:30AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM at The Historic Church of St. Peter - Brownsville, PA with the Rev. Fr. Efren Ambre as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Redstone Cemetery.
