Isabel "Bell" (Horwath) Hatalsky

Isabel (Bell) Horwath Hatalsky, beloved mother, age 94, of West Brownsville, PA died on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 in The Uniontown Hospital. She was born on December 25, 1917 in West Brownsville, PA Daughter of the late Steve and Mary Kovach Horwath. Mrs. Hatalsky was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Hatalsky Son: Charles A. Hatalsky Daughter: Maria Thornton 2 sisters: Ethel Chapley and Mary Wounick 2 brothers: Louis Horwath and Alex Horwath Isabel was a homemaker who enjoyed welcoming and cooking for her family and friends. She was beloved by those who knew her for her kind heart and generous spirit. She worked as a waitress, bartender, and briefly as a housekeeper on the riverboats. Her interests included dancing and singing and most recently was a member of the choir at The Center in The Woods in California, Pa., where she also served as a volunteer. She was most proud of her Hungarian Heritage and loved to polka and czardas. Isabel was baptized as a catholic and then subsequently attended The Allison Christian Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Isabel is survived by her 2 children: Barry Hatalsky and his wife Margie - West Brownsville, PA Carolyn Huff and her husband Michael - Greensboro, PA Grandchildren: Tracy Thornton; Barry J. Hatalsky; Jason Hatalsky and his wife Bethany; Aaron Huff; Tara Kimmell; Randy Thornton Also survived by 2 great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Beloved family pet: Spanky Friends will be received in The Skirpan Funeral Home 135 Park Street Brownsville, PA on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8PM. Additional visitation will be held At The Allison Christian Church East Avenue Allison#2, PA on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until 1:00PM when a funeral service will be held with Rev. Michael Peton officiating. Interment will follow in Taylor Cemetery.
