Ida Mae (Mattie) Popiesh

Ida Mae Popiesh, age 86, of West Brownsville, PA passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023. She was born on November 24, 1936 in Brownsville, PA to the late Tito and Ida Franks Mattie. She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew Popiesh, Sr. daughters, Linda Mersky Cindy Jacobs, Sherry Bloom; grandchildren, Danny Neil, Jr. and Ashley Popiesh; numerous brothers and sisters. Ida is survived by five children, Andrew Popiesh, Jr., Ida Guerra, Bernard Popiesh, Anthony Popiesh, Kenneth Popiesh. numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Skirpan Funeral Home, 135 Park St. Brownsville, PA on Wednesday and Thursday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM and Friday until 9:30 AM when a prayer service will be held followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in the Historic Church of St. Peter, Brownsville, PA.
