Helen Esther (Helterbran) Shamrock

Former resident of Uniontown for 37 years Helen E. (Helterbran) Shamrock passed into eternal rest on January 21, 2013. She was born on June 27, 1919 in Brownsville, PA. She was predeceased by her parents, Clifford and Josephine (Chubboy) Helterbran; her husband, Thomas J. Shamrock, Jr; her brothers, Samuel, David, Clifford, Raymond; and her sisters, Julie, Anna and Ruth. She is survived by her brothers, Robert Helterbran (Lola) of Dallas, TX, Alex Helterbran (Pat) of Pottsville, PA and William Helterbran (Virginia) of Pittsburgh, PA. She is also survived by her Daughter, Dr. Anella S. Nickolas, of Mechanicsburg, PA; two sons, Thomas J. Shamrock, III and wife (Karen) of McLoud, OK and James C. Shamrock and wife (Kathy) of McClellandtown, PA. Helen is also survived by her grandchildren, Stewart E. Nickolas and wife (Renee),Austin, TX; Carissa A. Nickolas, Mechanicsburg, PA; Dr. Jamie Shamrock, Houston, TX; Thomas J. Shamrock IV and wife(Cindy); McLoud, OK; Scott Shamrock and wife (Sarah), McLoud, OK. Her great- grand children are Lydia and Coleman Nickolas, Austin, TX ; Thomas J. Shamrock V and Ava Shamrock, McLoud, OK and Matalynn Shamrock, Oklahoma City, OK. Helen was a founding member of the Evans Manor United Methodist Church, now called Community where she has been a member for 71 years. You may remember her from dinners that were served at the church or at the Fayette County Fair. Friends and family will be received at the Skirpan Funeral Home on 680 Cherry Tree Lane in Uniontown, PA on Thursday, January 24 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A celebration of her exceptional life will be held Friday, January 25, at 10:00 am at the Skirpan Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Brant officiating. Interment will be at Lafayette Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Methodist Church, 1264 West Penn Blvd., Uniontown, PA 15401.
