Harriet P. Gilmore (Gilleland), the daughter of the late Edward and Sarah (Easter) Gilleland died on her birthday, on Sunday January 4, 2026 surrounded by her family. Harriet was raised and continued to live in Grindstone for most of her life. She was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church of Grindstone. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother . In her last years through her journey with dementia, she was well loved and cared for by her children, Diana (John )Santello, Barbara (John) Herre and Pamela (Mike) Dodson. Harriet is also survived by five granddaughters, Christina (Ed) Pecsko, Stacy (Ron) Adams, Chantel (Tommy) Little, Maria (Chuck) Pecsko, and Kaylyn (Keith) Wellington. There are 14 great grandchildren, Bryson and Addison Pecsko, Carson, Bella, Grayson, and Abby Adams, Christian, Jillian and Gretchen Little, Aubrey, Charlie and Hannah Pecsko, and Walker and Larissa Wellington. Also surviving are her siblings, Virginia Rack, Harold Gilleland, Nancy Conroy, and Tammy Spiker. Harriet was married to the late Robert Gilmore and is also predeceased by her granddaughter, Stephanie Lynn Santello, as well as two great grandchildren who were lost at birth, Eli Vincent Pecsko and Wrenn Elizabeth Wellington; and a brother Donald Gilleland and sister Sarah Baughman. Friends will be received in the Skirpan Funeral Home, 135 Park St., Brownsville, PA on Wednesday, January 7, 2025 from 2 – 8 PM. A private interment at Pleasant View Cemetery.
