George Michael Ross, Sr. is walking down heaven's streets of gold alongside his
Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, after passing from this earth on June 16, 2023.
George was born on May 31, 1939, son of the late John and Christina (Horvath)
Ross. He was an amazing husband to Patricia "Patty" (Henderson) Ross for 62
years, and a loving father to Sandra (EJ) McVoy, Laura (Mark) Gentile and George
(Carol) Ross, Jr. He was a loving and caring grandfather to Ross, Savannah,
Clarence "Will", David, and Faith. George will be missed by his brother, Steven
and sister, Martha Magee. He will also be missed by his sisters-in-law, Shirley
Ross, Alberta (Bernie) Seruga, Nancy (Bob) Jodon; and his brother-in-law, Clarence
"Bud" Henderson. He loved all his nieces and nephews, but had a special bond
with Mike Jr., Ken, Jonathan, Tracy, Brian, and Bethany.
Upon his arrival in heaven, George was reunited with his mother and father, along
with his sisters and brothers, Delores, Margaret, Maryann, Johnny, Joey, and
Michael.
George lived in Rowes Run for 80 years. He stated he would never leave because
"He has the best neighbors, ever." The family greatly appreciates all the love and
support they have received over the years.
George was dedicated to God, family and church, and a life-long member of St.
Cecilia Roman Catholic Church in Grindstone.
Family and friends will be received at the Skirpan Funeral Home, 135 Park Street,
Brownsville, PA 15417 on Wednesday from 10 - 11 AM. George's grandchildren
will lead in the recitation of the Rosary beginning at 11:00, followed by Prayers of
Transfer at 11:30. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Cecilia R.C. Church at
12:00 Noon, officiated by Rev. Fr. Efren Ambre and Rev. Fr. Arnel Tadeo.
Interment to follow in LaFayette Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make
