George E. Malek

George E. Malek, age 84, of Brownsville, PA passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born on August 3, 1941 in Wyano, PA to the late Anthony and Catherine Mlinek Malek. He taught at Brownsville School District for over 30 years. He was a member of the Nixon Gun Club for over 60 years and President there for 30 years. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ellen “Elaine” Marie Ryan Malek, Three daughters, Lori Illar and husband Dennis, Michele Yocabet and husband Douglas and Carrie Sue Malek;a sister, Mary Ann Cover and husband Dennis, sister-in-law, Mary Louise Malek, also numerous, nephews, nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by brother, Carl Malek. Friends will be received in the Skirpan Funeral Home, 135 Park St., Brownsville, PA on Monday from 2 – 8 PM and Tuesday until 10:30 AM when a prayer service will be held, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in the Historic Church of St. Peter with the Rev.
