Genevieve E. (Magario) Capatosti, age 90, of Brownsville, PA passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, February 28th, 2025 with her beloved daughter, Jennifer by her side.
She was born on July 15th, 1934 in Allison #2, PA
Daughter of the late Frederick and Mary (Marino) Magario
She was a lifetime member of The Historic Church of St. Peter in Brownsville.
Genevieve was a lifetime member and held various leadership positions and offices with The Rosa Garabaldi Frank Ricco Sons of Italy Lodge #1818, Hiller Fire Hall Ladies Auxiliary, Brownsville Chamber of Commerce. Genevieve was instrumental in the starting of Brownsville's Annual Light Up Night. Genevieve and her brother Ernie co-owned Ernie's Hardware and Variety Store in Brownsville. Also a member of The Brownsville Garden Club.
Besides her parents, Genevieve was preceded in death by her beloved husband: Armand “Mundo” Capatosti

She is survived by her daughter: Jennifer L. Assad and her husband Andy
her two grandchildren whom she adored: Dr. Taylor Assad and Hunter Assad

Cousins: Jody DelVerme, Cheryl Carlucci, Phillip Carlucci, Doug Carlucci, Rosalyn Sally, Joanne Marino, Jackie Francis, and Anthony Marino
Godchildren: Greg Carlucci, Dr. Jesse Sally, Leanna Sally, and Rebecca DeMase

Jennifer would like to extend a personal thank you to the staff of Jennie's Personal Care Home and Alle Flick and Janet Frankos for their wonderful and compassionate care of her mother.
Friends will be received in The Skirpan Funeral Home 135 Park Street Brownsville, PA on Monday from 2-8PM and on Tuesday until 9:30AM where a Prayer Service will be held followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at The Historic Church of St. Peter – Brownsville, PA with the Rev. Fr. Efren Ambre as Celebrant. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park.
