Florence Marie Chesnick

LT COL Florence Chesnick, age 76 of Hiller, PA died on April 8, 2023. She was born
in Brownsville, PA, daughter of the late John and Agnes Chesnick. She graduated
from Washington Hospital of Nursing and became a Registered Nurse. She
worked in civilian hospitals for four years and then entered the US Air Force Nurse
Corp. She had assignments in Germany, Greece, and in Japan and several
assignments in the United States. During her time in the Air Force, she received a
Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing. She is survived
by her niece Barbara Kovachick of Hiller, PA and her son George Kovachick; nephew, Richard and wife Marcy Pahula of
Brownsville, PA and their sons Richard and Joseph Pahula and Nicholas Sawka  and Mark and his wife Holly Rasnick of Strongsville, Ohio, and their daughters, Victoria and Cassie Rasnick.

Immediate Family and Close Friends will be received at The Skirpan Funeral Home, 135 Park Street,
Brownsville, PA 15417, on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 10 AM until the Blessing Service at 11:30 PM.

Interment to follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, with Military Honors accorded by the United States Air Force and the Hopwood AMVETS Post #103.
