Eugene A. "Gene" Valli

Eugene A. (Gene) Valli, age 87, of Uniontown, PA passed away on Tuesday evening, September 10, 2013 at Redstone Highlands in Greensburg, PA. He was born on January 11, 1926 in Waynesburg, PA Son of the late August and Emma (Mioranza) Valli. Gene was a member of St. Therese de Lisieux R.C. Church of Uniontown, PA He retired from Emerald Coal Mining Company as a Warehouse Supervisor. Gene was a Veteran of WW II serving with The United States Army Signal Corp. Gene enjoyed his family, grandchildren, friends, golfing, gardening, and working in his yard. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his 2 brothers: Louis & William Sister: Mary Cowell Gene is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years: Ann M. (Juran) Valli His son: Gary E. Valli and his wife Mary of Murrysville, PA 2 grandchildren: Jessica Valli Belancik and Marc Valli Sister: Betty Bailey of Westlake, OH Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in The Skirpan Funeral Home 680 Cherry Tree Lane Uniontown, PA on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8PM and on Saturday from 9:00AM until 10:00AM where a blessing service will be held with Msgr. Michael W. Matusak officiating. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park. A Parish Wake Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Friday afternoon at 3:00PM. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made in Gene's name to The Parkinson's Disease Foundation 3468 Babcock Blvd. Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
