Eugene Edward Rode age 80 of Brownsville, PA died on Friday, July 5, 2013 in the Veterans Hospital in Aspinwall, PA. He was born on August 10, 1932 in Brownsville, PA. Son of the late James and Justina Piccola Rode. He was a member of Harvest Time Ministry of Brownsville. Veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the US Army and receiving a Purple Heart. He was a Past Master and member of F&A Masonic Lodge #60 of Brownsville, PA Retired Postal worker with 30 years. Former guard at Neville Island, Pittsburgh, PA. Life member of the NRA He is survived by his wife, Betty Jane (Rinehart) Rode Grandchildren, Patricia and Kenneth of Leesburg, FL Brothers, Joseph Rode of Brownsville, PA Rudy Rode of Tucson, AZ Special nephews, Joseph Rode, Jr. of Brownsville, PA Leo Rode of Chalk Hill, PA Numerous other nieces and nephews He was predeceased by his Step Son, David R. Rinehart Sister, Josephine (Josie) Testa Brothers, Frank, Nick, James, Leo I, Tony and Leo II. infant sister, Frances Private arrangements are under the direction of the Skirpan Funeral Home 135 Park St. Brownsville, PA
