Edwin D. Brand

Edwin D. Brand, age 92, of Brownsville, PA passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024 with his loving family by his side. He was born on August 23, 1931 to the late Paul and Ruth Beall Brand. Edwin was an Sun Oil Truck Driver and Maintenance worker up until his retirement. He was a long time member of the Brownsville Optimist Club and he enjoyed going to the Casinos, Dog Races, Cash Bashes and Bingo Bashes. He also enjoyed visits from his great grandsons and great great grandsons. Edwin was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor Karas Brand, son, Gary Brand and daughter-in-law Linda Brand; son-in-law, Joseph Ross; sisters, Ellen Mae Brand, Valetta Barker, Esther Podkerjac. He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Ross; grandchildren, Jodee Ross, Kerri Long and husband Wayne, Laura Garee and Ryan Brand; great grandchildren, Michael Blackstone and wife Christina, Cristian Blackstone, Cody Long and Gage Garee; great great grandchildren, Caidan and Chanson Blackstone; Friends will be received in the Skirpan Funeral Home, 135 Park St. Brownsville, PA on Tuesday from 3 - 8 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Kristen Emrick officiating. Interment Lafayette Memorial Park.
