Duane R. "Herb" Cozard

Duane R. (Herb) Cozard , age 71, of Brownsville, PA passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at his home with his beloved wife at his side after a one year courageous battle with cancer. He was born on January 19, 1942 in Uniontown, PA Son of the late Alonzo Y. and Velma M. Riggs Cozard Duane was a welder with Hillman Barge Company and retired after 38 years of service. He was a member of the AMA, BMWMOA, BMWRA, and The Nixon Gun Club He was preceded in death by his parents 3 brothers: Daniel, George, and Alonzo Jr. 4 sisters: Jane Jones, Marie Benford, Ruth Kelly, and Arlene Stofko Duane is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years: Sandra L. Green Cozard Sister: Norma Walton - Novi, Mich. Brother-in-law & sister-in-law: George and Pam Harman and their daughter Brandy of Stahlstown, PA Many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, and cousins Father of his 3 beautiful cats: Smokey, Black Nose, & Callie A special thank you to Dr. Dai of UMPC Cancer Center and his hospice nurse, Chris from Fayette Homecare. At Duane's request, there will be no public viewing or funeral services. Arrangements are under the direction of The Skirpan Funeral Home 135 Park Street Brownsville, PA.
