Domineck Sabatini Obituary

Domineck Frank Sabatini age 88 of Brownsville, PA died peacefully on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at his son's home. He was born on February 14, 1924. Son of the late Francesco and Marina Consolati Sabatini. Domineck was a member of the Historic Church of St. Peter in Brownsville, PA Brownsville Sons of Italy UMWA Charleroi Elks American Legion He graduated from Brownsville High School Class of 1942. He joined the army and was a veteran of WWII, then began his career in the coal mines when he returned. He rose to the position of superintendent and retired as a state mine inspector. He was a devoted husband and father, and had a passion for watching the Steelers and Pirates. In late years, he enjoyed going to The Center in the Woods in California, PA. In addition to his parents, Domineck was predeceased by his first wife: Thelma Veres Sabatini; infant daughter: Mary Katherine and his sister Irene Taffoni and her husband Ernie. He is survived by his wife: Judith Capuano Sabatini 4 Children: Dr. Sharon Dailey and husband Doug of Birmingham, AL Mia Sabatini Jodi Johnson both of Uniontown, PA Dr. Dominic Sabatini of Pittsburgh, PA 7 Grandchildren: Evan and Patrick Dailey of Birmingham, AL Alex, Samantha and Joel Johnson Malina and Vitabella Sabatini all of Uniontown, PA Great Grandchild: Adriana Johnson of Uniontown, PA Brother: Leo Sabatini of Aliquippa, PA Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends Friends will be received in the Skirpan Funeral Home 135 Park St. Brownsville, PA on Wednesday from 2 - 8PM. Where a prayer service will be held on Thursday at 9:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in the Historic Church of St. Peter - Brownsville, PA with the Rev. Fr. Micah E. Kozoil as celebrant. Interment in Lafayette Memorial Park with full military rites accorded by American Legion Post 295, 940 and 838. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Center in the Woods of California, PA. The family would like to extend their gratitude to all their family and friends who gave support through his illness with special thanks to Ralph Lincoln who sat with him daily and to his hospice nurse Becky Svec for her compassionate care.
