David E. Columbia

David E. Columbia, age 88, of Brownsville, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 in Mt. Macrina Manor. He was born on August 14, 1936 in Vesta #6, PA to the late Frank and Mary (Rafac) Columbia of West Brownsville, PA. Dave was a member of the former St. Mary's R.C. Church of Brownsville, PA and the Historic Church of St. Peter, Brownsville, PA. He was a Union Painter by trade for most of his life and in his spare time, he enjoyed playing cards, watching baseball, and spending time with his family. Dave was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Bernice A. Columbia, daughter Judith Compton, brothers John, Andrew, Michael, Paul, George, and Josh Columbia and sisters Anne Columbia and Kathryn Kuklish. Left to cherish his memory are three daughters, Mary Ann Columbia and Barbara, Patty Columbia, Beth Lawson, five grandchildren, Darin Dewey, Anna Rosenheck (Josh), Helen Compton (Ford), Julie Lawson (fiancé Joe Druga), and Christian Lawson, great granddaughter, Amelia Dewey and numerous nieces and nephews. The Family would like to express a special thanks to the loving staff at Mt. Macrina Manor and Amedisys Hospice. Friends will be received in the Skirpan Funeral Home, 135 Park St. Brownsville, PA on Friday from 2 :00 to 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 PM and on Saturday until 9:30 AM when a prayer service will be held followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in the Historic Church of St. Peter with the Rev.
