Connie L. Perkins

Connie Perkins, age 66, of Royal, PA passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at her home with her beloved family by her side. She was born on February 24, 1947 in Royal, PA Daughter of the late Frank Glista and Eleanor (Croftcheck) Glista. Connie was a member of the former St. Hedwig R.C. Church of Smock, PA, and was a current member of St. Therese de Lisieux R.C. Church of Uniontown, PA It was her faith and love in our Lord that gave her strength to fight her battle with lung disease and cancer. Her life was not only devoted to her Lord, but was also devoted to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family, especially her grandsons - Justin, Jordan, & Eli were her world. She loved going to Justin's quad races and Jordan and Eli's baseball games. She was very proud of them. Connie was preceded in death by her beloved husband - Bob Perkins Also by her parents and grandparents, Uncle George Croftcheck, Uncle Joe and Aunt Florence Smarto. She will be sadly missed by her son - Rob Perkins & his wife Sheila and their son Justin and his girlfriend Sarah King and her first great-grandchild - Maci Lynn Perkins. Her daughter - Tiffany Eicher & her husband Kris and their sons - Jordan and Eli All of Royal, PA Also survived by other family members and friends, and especially Sharon, Janie, Kaitlyn who were always there for her. The family wishes to thank Dr. Peracha for his wisdom as a physician and for being such a compassionate and humble man. Also to the nurses and staff and the Uniontown Cancer Center and all of the staff at Amedisys Hospice Center. Friends will be received in The Skirpan Funeral Home 135 Park Street Brownsville, PA on Sunday, Dec. 22nd, from 2-4 and 6-8PM and on Monday until 9:00AM where a prayer service will be held, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St. Therese de Lisieux R.C. Church - Uniontown, PA with Msgr. Michael W. Matusak as celebrant. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park. A Parish Wake Service will be held on Sunday afternoon at 3:00PM.
