Carl Thomas "Shop" Martin

Carl Thomas "Shop" Martin age 81 of Brownsville, PA passed away on Monday, May 13, 2013 in his home with his family by his side. He was born on August 26, 1931 in Brownsville, PA. Son of the late Michael and Anna Johnson Martin. He was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Brownsville, PA He served as a sergeant in the Korean Conflict serving with the 101St Airborne Division, and retired from US Steel Clairton Works. Shop owned and operated R & M Auto Wreckers with his blue Chevy Tow Truck. He could fix anything. Surviving are his wife Pauline "Pie" Reno Martin Daughters, Tina Libertini and husband Martin Jeanine Smith and husband Francis Grandchildren, Christina, Maria, Carey Lynn, Martin, Jr. and wife Kristen Libertini Andria and Francis Smith Sister, Betty Ann Hilbert He enjoyed visits from his lifelong buddies, Red, Bob and Angel, and got endless cards from a special friend Sally. He was preceded by his sister, Mary MacIntosh Brothers, Michael, George, John, Joseph and Francis Martin Friends will be received in the Skirpan Funeral Home 135 Park St. Brownsville, PA on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 9PM. Where a panachida service will be held on Friday at 9:30AM followed by Divine Liturgy at 10:00AM in St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Brownsville, PA with the Rev. Fr. Jerome Botsko as celebrant. Interment St. Nicholas Cemetery.
