Barry L. Tressa

Barry L. Tressa, age 66, of Grindstone, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at the home of his daughter - Leni with all of his family by his side. He was born on August 30, 1946 in Brownsville, PA Son of the late Andrew J. and Mildred A. Plaski Tressa Jr. Barry was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served with the United States Air Force. Member of the Braznell American Legion Post #838 He was a retired self-employed trucking owner/operator. Barry was preceded in death by his beloved wife: Novella (Lou) A. Winemiller Tressa 2 Children: Barry Lenhart Tressa Jr., Connie Tressa Stepson: Thomas Crosby Grandson: Andrew Mitchell Dean Tressa Sister: Marsha Jean Tressa Barry is survived by his children: Kathy Luna & husband Randy Jackie Anderson Pete McArdle Lisa Mitchell & husband Robert John Tressa & wife Mary Donald Tressa & wife Loretta Marsha Sweat & husband Tracy Leni Lawver & husband Lonnie Step-daughter: Elizabeth Coulter Numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren Siblings: Andrew J. Tressa Connie Gallios & husband Van Jerry Tressa & wife Nancy Linda LeClaire Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Friends will be received in The Skirpan Funeral Home 135 Park Street Brownsville, PA on Friday from 2-4 and 6-9PM and on Saturday until 9:30AM where a prayer service will be held followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at The Historic Church of St. Peter - Brownsville, PA with the Rev. Fr. Joseph D. Armamento as celebrant. Entombment will be in LaFayette Memorial Park where full Military Rites will be accorded by American Legion Posts 295, 838, & 940.
