Anne Etta (Fortuna) Kosty

Anne Etta Kosty, 91, of Brownsville, PA passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2013. She was born on May 6, 1921 in Brownsville, PA Daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Spyrka Fortuna Anne was a very active member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Brownsville and made pierogies at the church for many years. She was a member of The Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court #1141, Volunteered her time at the gift shop at Brownsville General Hospital, and worked at Kart's Department Store. Anne was preceded in death by her husband: John Kosty Jr. Sister: Helen (Fortuna) Tropek Brothers: Anthony, Michael, & John Fortuna She is survived by her brother: Joseph Fortuna & his wife Marlene - Mechanicsburg, PA Nieces: Kathy Fazio & husband Michael - Newark, OH Bette Miller & husband Michael - Coral Springs, FL Shirley Sprague & husband Donald - Plano, TX Darla Bednarik - Brownsville, PA Nephews: Jon Fortuna - Mechanicsburg, PA Tom Fortuna - Mechanicsburg, PA Bob Fortuna & wife Terri - Randolph, NJ Darrell Fortuna & wife Deborah - Fairbank, PA Kevin Fortuna - Brownsville, PA Also survived by many great nieces & great nephews Friends will be received in The Skirpan Funeral Home 135 Park Street Brownsville, PA on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8PM and on Friday until 10:30AM when a Panachida Service will be held followed by Divine Liturgy at 11:00AM at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church - Brownsville, PA with Rev. Fr. Jerome Botsko as celebrant. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park. The Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court #1141 will recite the rosary on Thursday at 3:30PM. A Parastas service will be held on Thursday evening at 7:00PM.
