Angelo Quarzo

Angelo Quarzo age 92 of Brownsville, PA died Friday, January 04, 2013 in the Uniontown Hospital. Angelo, the son of the late Leo and Lena Minello Quarzo was born on February 1, 1920 in Brownsville, PA. He was a member of the Historic Church of St. Peter and a former member of the Sons of Italy Frank Ricco Lodge in Brownsville, PA Angelo was predeceased by his wife Florence (DeCarlo) Quarzo sister, Mary Karpiak brothers, Ernest and James He is survived by his son: Ernest S. and wife Paula (Hoyack) Quarzo of Uniontown, PA 3 grandchildren: Kelly Hurst and husband Ron of Cranberry Twp., PA Holly Quarzo of Pine Lake, GA Kristy Nauman of Cranberry Twp., PA Angelo also leaves behind 5 great-grandchildren: Sarah and Nicholas Hurst, Nathan, Gabriel and Clayton Nauman Surviving him too is a brother, Richard Quarzo of Brownsville, PA 3 sisters, Theresa Gentilcore of Uniontown, PA Gloria Mancinelli of Brownsville, PA Joann Madorma - Florida His very special friend, Luella Brewer of California, PA was a great part of his life for 12 years. Angelo, a barber by trade, retired from Quarzo's Barber Shop in downtown Brownsville. His father, Leo, established the shop which occupied several locations in Brownsville and is now owned and operated by his brother, Richard, and family on Thornton Rd. in Brownsville. Being a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and son, Angelo believed in the family unit and lived his life in a manner that followed those beliefs. He will be truly missed. Friends will be received in the Skirpan Funeral Home 135 Park St., Brownsville, PA on Saturday from 6 - 8PM and Sunday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8PM. A parish wake service will be held on Saturday at 6:00PM in the funeral home. A prayer service will be held at Skirpan's on Monday at 9:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in the Historic Church of St. Peter in Brownsville, PA with the Rev. Fr. Joseph D. Armamento as the celebrant. Interment will be at Lafayette Memorial Park.
