Andrew John (Rocky) Guman, 75, of Rowes Run, PA passed away on Wednesday evening, October 24, 2012 in The Uniontown Hospital. He was born on February 15, 1937 in Grindstone, PA Son of the late Louis and Rose Toth Guman Andrew was a member of St. Cecilia R.C. Church - Grindstone, PA where he also was a member of The Holy Name Society. He was employed by US Steel and was retired from Maplecreek Coal Mine Member of The UMWA Andrew was a very big fan of the Pittsburgh Sports Teams - The Pirates, Steelers, & Penguins He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: John, Joseph, and Louis 5 sisters: Mary Zappia, Irene Depole, Rose Vannicola, Julie Hawks, Helen Bruzda Andrew is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years: Genevieve A. Zayance Guman 4 children: Andrea Meyers & husband Gregory - Uniontown, PA Cynthia Evans & husband Charles - New Salem, PA Carol Guman - Rowes Run, PA Andrew Joseph Guman - Rowes Run, PA 3 grandsons: Josh and Derek Evans; Daniel Meyers 2 sisters: Bertha D'Amico - Cleveland, OH Clara Ochran - LaBelle, FL Also survived by several nieces and nephews, and cousins Friends will be received in The Skirpan Funeral Home 135 Park Street Brownsville, PA on Saturday evening from 6-9PM, and on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-9PM and on Monday until 9:30AM where a prayer service will be held followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. Cecilia R.C. Church - Grindstone, PA with Rev. Fr. James F. Petrovsky as celebrant. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park. A Wake Service will be held in the funeral home on Sunday afternoon at 3:00PM. The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Richard Pish, Greg Lacek, & also Cindy Schirra of Albert Gallatin Home Care for the wonderful care that they extended to Andrew.
