Alice Marie Mesaros

Alice Marie Mesaros (formerly Sister Alice Marie of the Vincentian Sisters of Charity), age 88 of Rowes Run, PA passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025 in Mount Macrina Manor.

She was born on July 22, 1937 in Rowes Run, PA to the late Albert and Mary Misenko Mesaros.

She attended Mt. Mercy College and received her Bachelor of Science in Education Degree.  She then received her Masters of Education Degree from Duquesne University.

She devoted her life to the education of young children in various Catholic Schools.

Besides her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her siblings, Infant John and  Anna, Mary Becka, Susan Scott,  Joseph Mesaros, Andrew Mesaros, Michael Mesaros, Agnes Kollar, Dorothy Zawacki, Theresa Kostelnik and Johanna DeCarlo.

Alice is survived by a sister, Martha Discovich of Uniontown; as well as many nieces and nephews, one of whom was her devoted caregiver, Joanne Becka of College Park, MD., and their families.

She is also survived by many wonderful friends and neighbors.

The family would like to thank the staff of Mount Macrina Manor and Amedisys Hospice, in particular Maranda, Torra, Joyce, and Betty for their compassionoate, physical, and emotional care that they gave to Alice at the end of her life's journey.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 12:00 Noon in St. Mary’s Nativity Church in Uniontown, PA., with Fr. Dave Slusarick officiating.  Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Brownsville, PA.
