Aldo Lovat, age 92 of Labelle, PA passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Aldo was a second generation immigrant into the United States from Northern Italy. Aldo enjoyed a long fully independent life for 92 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guiseppi and Amalia Lovat; three brothers, John, Reno, and Bruno as well as an infant brother. Aldo was a proud US Navy Veteran and a welder and Crane Operator at Hillman Barge Co. in Brownsville. Aldo retired with over 30 years of service, building hundreds of Barges over the years. Aldo leaves behind three generations of nieces and nephews and their families. All of which will cherish his memory. Friends will be received in the Skirpan Funeral Home, 135 Park St., Brownsville on Friday January 26, 2024 from 9:00 AM until 11:00AM when a prayer service will be held followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30AM in the Historic Church of St. Peter, Brownsville, PA with the Rev. Fr. James Petrovsky as celebrant. Entombment in Lafayette Memorial Park with full military rites accorded by American Legion Post 275, 940 and 838.
